The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash in Glenwood this morning, 20 March.
Initial investigations indicate shortly after 7.45am, a collision occurred between a prime mover truck and a sedan on the Bruce Highway near the intersection with Bolderrow Road. The prime mover rolled during the incident.
A 35-year-old man, who was the sole occupant of the sedan, sustained critical injuries and received medical treatment at the scene, before being declared deceased.
The 57-year-old male driver of the truck and a 59-year-old female passenger were both uninjured.
The Bruce Highway was closed in both directions for a number of hours.
Traffic was diverted through to Abbortwelve Road, where a second crash occurred around 10.30am.
Those early investigations indicate a truck towing a load lost control while navigating a bend in the road when the load became loose and hit another vehicle.
Abbortwelve Road was temporarily blocked in both directions until both vehicles were towed from the scene. Nobody was injured.
Investigations into both crashes are ongoing.
Anyone who may have witnessed either crash or has relevant dashcam is urged to contact police.
