Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash which claimed the life of a pedestrian at Calliope last night, 27 March.
Initial investigations indicate that at 8.26pm, a Toyota Hilux utility collided with a man in the eastbound lane of the Dawson Highway at the intersection with Ivy Street.
The man suffered critical injuries and was declared deceased a short time later.
Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
There is no further information available at this time.
Anyone who travelled along the Dawson Highway around the time of the crash and may have seen the pedestrian is urged to contact police.
