Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Beerburrum

A man has died following a traffic crash in Beerburrum today, 2 April.

Police and emergency services were called to Steve Irwin Way at Iona Road around 10.45am following reports a truck had hit a tree.

Upon arrival, crews freed the driver and a passenger who were stuck in the cab.

Emergency services performed first aid on the driver, a 24-year-old Bald Hills man, however he was declared deceased at the scene.

The passenger, a 21-year-old Silkstone man was flown to hospital in a stable condition.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
