Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Columboola

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Columboola on 10 April.

Around 9.20am, a white Mitsubishi Triton Ute and a black Holden Crewman Ute travelling on the Warrego Highway collided near Campion Road.

The driver and sole occupant of the Holden Crewman Ute, a 37-year-old Chinchilla man, was transported to Toowoomba Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 74-year-old Tara man, the driver and sole occupant of the Mitsubishi Triton Ute, died at the scene.

Any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash are ongoing.
