Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Etheridge

Police are investigating following a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Etheridge in the early hours of this morning, 21 April.

Around 4.45am police and emergency service were called to Gulf Development Road near the intersection with Richmond Road following reports a Hilux vehicle had rolled.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 65-year-old Edge Hill man sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased.

The driver, a 34-year-old Gordonvale man, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the incident and anyone with any information or vision to assist police is urged to come forward.
