Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Rosemount

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a single vehicle crash which claimed the life of a 17-year-old Bli Bli boy at Rosemount this afternoon (January 14).

Preliminary investigations indicate the vehicle the boy was driving was travelling east along Petrie Creek Road at around 1.10pm when he lost control, leaving the roadway and travelling down an embankment before hitting a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
