Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Bogie (Whitsundays)

Police are appealing for information following a fatal single vehicle traffic crash at Bogie.

At about 3pm yesterday, a member of the public located a body under the Jack Phillips Bridge on Peter Delemothe Road following a traffic crash.

The exact date and cause of the crash is currently unknown.

A formal identification process is currently underway to identify the driver.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen a black old-style Nissan Navara travelling in the Bogie area between December 10, 2019 and yesterday to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
