Police are investigating following a fatal single vehicle traffic crash near Townsville yesterday (December 6).
Preliminary information suggests that around 11am a vehicle was travelling north along Gregory Developmental Road when it veered off the road and struck trees around 18 kilometres south of Greenvale.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a Gin Gin man aged in his 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit continue with officers appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or motorists with relevant dash cam vision, to contact them (details below).
