Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Machans Beach

A man has died in a single vehicle traffic crash in Machans Beach early this morning.

Investigations indicate the man was travelling along the Captain Cook Highway just after 1am when his Hyundai sedan left the road and struck a tree.

The 40-year-old Watsonville man was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
