Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Narangba

A motorcyclist who sustained serious head injuries in a traffic crash in Narangba last month has passed away from his injuries.

Investigations indicate that around 9.40am on Sunday, August 30, a Honda CBR900 motorcycle travelling southbound on the Bruce Highway has attempted to pass through the intersection of the Boundary Road overpass when it has travelled through a red light and collided with a black Honda wagon.

Emergency services provided first aid to the driver and he was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition.

The 50-year-old man, who was driving the motorcycle, died of his injuries today.

The matter remains under police investigation.
