The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating following a serious traffic crash at Colinton, in the Somerset Region, overnight, June 26.
Initial investigations indicate that around 7pm, a Ford Falcon sedan and a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV have collided on the D'Aguilar Highway near Nurinda Road.
The driver and sole occupant of the Ford, a 19-year-old Glass House Mountains man, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai, a 38-year-old Hodgleigh man, sustained serious injuries and was also airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Officers are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or CCTV/dashcam vision to come forward.
