Police Responding To Serious Traffic Crash At Carbrook

Forensic Crash Unit are investigating, following a serious traffic crash at Carbrook today, 16 April.

About 2.20pm police and emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash on Beenleigh Redland Bay Road.

Initial investigations indicate a silver Toyota Corolla was travelling east on the road when it has collided head-on with a mobile crane travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the vehicle, a 66-year-old Tara man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The driver of the crane, a 57-year-old Lota man and his passenger, a 36-year-old Brighton man, sustained no physical injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

Police are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the crash to come forward.
