Police responding to serious traffic crash at Carindale

Police are seeking dashcam footage in relation to a traffic crash which critically injured a 52-year-old Coopers Plains man this morning.

At approximately 1am emergency services were responding to an unrelated single vehicle crash on the Gateway Motorway northbound at Carindale.

Police, emergency services and several tow trucks were stationary with flashing lights activated in the two far right lanes.

At approximately 1.30am a vehicle has crashed into the rear of a stationary tow truck.

The 52-year-old male driver, and sole occupant, was immediately treated by emergency services on scene and transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

Northbound lanes of the Gateway Motorway in the area were impacted for several hours as a result.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
