A skateboarder is in a critical condition after been hit by a car overnight in Aitkenvale.
Preliminary investigations indicate at 1.10am a Toyota Prius was headed west on Ross River Road. Just after turning left into Nathan Street the car has struck a man on a skate board crossing the road.
The skateboarder, a 23-year-old Heatley man, was transported to the Townsville Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
