Police responding to serious traffic crash at Chermside

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision following a serious traffic crash in Chermside this afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate at 3.50pm a man with a bicycle was crossing Gympie Road when he has been struck by a vehicle.

Police and Emergency Services attended, and the 39-year-old man was transported to hospital with significant injuries to his legs.

The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured and is assisting police with their inquiries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is requesting anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
