Police responding to serious traffic crash at Surfers Paradise

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash involving a pedestrian in Surfers Paradise overnight.

Preliminary investigations indicate just after 8pm a vehicle travelling north on Ferny Avenue collided with a pedestrian as they were crossing the road.

The pedestrian, a 20-year-old woman, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with critical head injuries.

The 68-year-old female driver of the car was not physically injured.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dash cam vision from Ferny Avenue at around 8pm last night.
