Police Responding To Traffic Crash At Cabarlah

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash at Cabarlah earlier this morning, June 5.

Around 6.30am police and emergency services were called to the southbound lanes of the New England Highway at the intersection with Evans Road East, after reports of a crash involving a car and a truck.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 17-year-old Meringandan boy, was airlifted to the PA Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 39-year-old Crows Nest man was not physically injured.

Anyone who witnessed or has vision of the crash or the moments leading up to the crash is urged to contact police.
