Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a burglar following a break-in in Box Hill North in December, Victoria Police say.
Police believe the burglar attempted to break into a house on Phillip Street about 11.40pm on 28 December.
The burglar then broke into a second house on Phillip Street and stole a number of personal items.
The burglar returned to the original house and stole a CCTV camera.
Investigators have released an image and CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
