Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary on Ferguson Street, Williamstown on 13 January, Victoria Police say.
Investigators believe a male forced entry to a café and stole a quantity of cash from the safe.
The man is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his 20s wearing light coloured shorts and a long sleeved shirt with a back pack.
Detectives have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
