Police search for John Pogias continues

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing 84-year-old Reservoir man John Pogias.

John was last spoken to by family about 8am on Tuesday 28 April and has not been heard from since.

Investigators have been told John was seen in the vicinity of the shopping strip on Edwardes Street, Reservoir about 10.30am on the same day.

A second possible sighting of John was reported near the intersection of Albert Road and Tyler Street, Preston about 2.40pm.

Police and family hold concerns for John's welfare due to a medical condition that requires medication.

It is believed John may be wearing a blue bomber jacket, brown shoes and dark trousers.

Police have released an image of John in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.

John is known to frequent shops on the corner of Gower Street and High Street, Preston; Edwardes Street, Reservoir; Coles in Reservoir; and the Excelsior Hotel in Thomastown.

He is also known to utilise the public bus network and taxis.
