A police search is underway to locate two men believed to be missing in the Mengha area in North-West Tasmania.
Around 8.30pm last night two men who had been gold prospecting contacted family to advise they become lost. The men had indicated they were heading to the Spion Kop Road area to prospect.
The men, Cody Evans and Joshua Heel-Murray, were travelling in a white older style Mitsubishi Pajero.
Police resources, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter are searching the area.
Anyone who has seen the vehicle, or the missing men, is asked to contact Devonport Police on 131 444 - quote reference number ESCAD 000012-17032023.
