Police search for man after Docklands fatal stabbing

Homicide Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance to help locate Mageri Sari as part of their investigation into a fatal stabbing in Docklands earlier this month.

Police wish to speak with the 19-year-old Shepparton man in relation to the incident.

Sari is known to frequent the Shepparton, Epping, Bundoora, Northcote and Melbourne CBD areas, and was last seen in Tarneit.

Despite a significant search from the Homicide Squad, Fugitive Squad and local police, he is yet to be located.

Detectives believe he is actively avoiding police.

Sari is described as being 183cm tall with a medium build, brown eyes and short dark hair.

Investigators have also released three images of Sari in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Sari is urged not to approach him and contact triple zero (000) immediately.

Detectives are appealing for any of Sari's associates who may have information on his current whereabouts to contact police.

Sari is wanted as part of the investigation into an incident in Docklands on 13 March where Alier Riak was fatally stabbed and his brother Kuol was seriously injured.

Five people have been charged in relation to the matter with a range of offences including murder, violent disorder, affray and commit indictable offence while on bail.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
