Police search for man at West Croydon, South Australia

Police are searching the West Croydon and Croydon area after a home owner disturbed a man armed with a machete breaking into his home.

Just before 1pm on Friday 5 February, a man has just returned to his Euston Terrace home, when he walked into the rear yard and discovered a male leaving his house via a rear window.

He went to confront the male offender, who then produced a large machete and threatened the home owner.

The male suspect then fled on foot via rear fence.

Police were notified with numerous patrols set up cordons in the area and calling in a police dog patrol to search nearby homes, but the suspect wasn't located.

Anyone with information on the wanted male who is described as of Aboriginal appearance, with dark hair, a goatee beard and wearing a grey jumper and dark coloured shorts, is asked to contact the police assistance line on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

They are appears to be nothing stolen in the incident and the home owner wasn't injured in the ordeal.
