Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing 12-year-old boy Lewis Handy, Victoria Police say.
Lewis was dropped off at a primary school on the corner of 12th Street and San Mateo Avenue in Mildura about 8.30am this morning.
He did not return home after school.
Police and family have concerns for his welfare due to his young age.
Lewis, who is of Aboriginal appearance, is described as about 150cm tall with a slim build and brown hair which is shaved on the sides.
Handy was wearing brown cargo pants, black school shoes and possibly a blue school t-shirt.
Police have released an image of Lewis in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information regarding his current whereabouts.
Anyone with information about Lewis is asked to contact Mildura Police Station on 5018 5300.
