Police Search For Missing Rider In High Country

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Waterways man Steven.

The 58-year-old was last seen leaving a Skipworth Reserve campsite at Kevington where he had been staying in his caravan about 2pm yesterday.

He contacted his partner to advise he was going for a ride on his dirt bike along nearby tracks in the Mount Terrible area and would let her know when he returned last night, which he failed to do.

When she still wasn't able to get in contact with him this morning, she contacted police to report him missing.

While Steven is an experienced camper and rider, there are concerns for his welfare as he always keeps in regular contact with family when away.

Uniform officers, Search and Rescue Squad members and the Air Wing have launched a searched in the surrounding area.

Steven is described as Caucasian, with a medium build and short hair.

He was last seen wearing light-coloured motorcycle clothing and a black helmet with green stripes.

Police have released an image of Steven in the hope that someone can provide information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Steven is urged to contact Benalla Police Station on 03 5760 0200.
