Police search for underwear thief

Warrnambool Police are investigating the theft of underwear from a Warrnambool laundromat.

Investigators have been told a man attended a laundromat on Nicholson Street about 9.30 pm on 10 January.

Once inside the premises the man made his way to a bin that contained unclaimed clothing and rummaged through the clothing.

The man then made his way to a dryer and removed bras and women's underpants before leaving the premises.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian, approximately 40-years-old with a grey beard.

At the time of the offence he was wearing a dark cap, black t-shirt with white motif, grey track pants and tan boots.

Police have released images and CCTV of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
