Police searching for a man after aggravated robbery , SA

Elizabeth police are investigating a robbery at a Smithfield service station overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 2.50am police were called to a service station on Main North Road after reports a man had entered armed with a pointed weapon and threatened the staff.

The offender verbally threatened the two staff members before jumping the counter and taking money from the cash register.

The man, who is described as being of aboriginal appearance, wearing gloves, a dark coloured hooded jumper and a bandana over his face, ran off after stealing the money.

Police searched the area with the assistance of a police dog but were unable to locate the man.

Thankfully no one was physically injured during the incident.
