Police seek assistance with Surrey Hills burglary investigation

Police are seeking public assistance following a residential burglary in Surrey Hills earlier this month.

Detectives from Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit have been told a man forced entry to the Thornton Avenue home about 9am on Saturday 7 September.

Once inside, the man was confronted by the occupant, causing him to flee.

The male was perceived to be Southern European in appearance, aged in his mid 30s, 185cm, shaved dark hair and wearing a fluorescent yellow vest, black jacket and black track pants.

Detectives believe the man attended the address in a silver 2018-2019 Toyota Prado.

Detectives have released images of a man and that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
