Police seek help to find bottle shop thief

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives are hoping to identify a man following theft of liquor from a Beaconsfield bottle shop last month.

Investigators have been told a man attended the Old Princes Highway store on 17 February around midday.

The man took a 10 pack of Jack Daniels and a bottle of coke from the shelf before leaving the store without paying.

The man was seen getting into a white Holden Commodore sedan with a detached front bumper, displaying registration plates 1NE3LY before leaving the scene.

Investigations reveal the registration plates were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Officer Railway Station that morning.

Detectives have released an image of a man that may assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, in his late 20s, tall and thin with a moustache.

He was wearing a blue, red and white Fila jumper, with a black cap, black shorts and black shoes.
