Police seek help to find missing girl at New Auckland

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a 15-year-old girl reported missing from New Auckland.

She was last seen on Thursday July 7 at approximately 4.15pm, walking outbound on the Dawson Highway near the airport.

The girl is wearing a red and black checked jacket, shorts, white trainers and is carrying a dusty pink Nike backpack.

She is described as Pacific Islander, approximately 170cm tall, proportionate build with dark brown hair and has a distinctive traditional Maori tattoo of a stingray on her right calf.

Police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age and the disappearance being out of character.
