Police seek help to find missing kayaker in Mumbannar

Police are currently searching for a 59-year-old man missing on the Glenelg River at Mumbannar.

Ed Grose set off from Lasletts Canoe Camp, off Sandy Waterholes Track, to Pattersons Canoe Camp, off River Road, prior to 11.30 this morning.

The Canadian national was with a group of 16 kayakers and is believed to have fallen behind.

He failed to show at Pattersons Canoe Camp and was reported missing at 12.30pm.

Ed is described as having a brown curly beard with a moustache and was wearing a yellow buoyancy vest, black pants and a black cap.

He was in a kayak with a blue top and white bottom.

Police and SES are currently searching for Ed using boats and four wheel drive vehicles.
