Police seek help to find missing man at Beechmont

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate an 85-year-old man reported missing from Beechmont this afternoon.

Peter Barton-Eckett (pictured) was last seen around 11am when he stated he would be sleeping in his car at a local park tonight because he could not access his home due to the bushfires. He has not been heard from since.

Police and family hold concerns for his safety due to his age and weather conditions.

He was last seen wearing a light pink button up shirt, a grey V-neck knitted vest, and a light coloured wide brim hat (as pictured).

He is driving a 2010 blue Hyundai Getz, registration 310RFF.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen Peter in Beechmont or Southport tonight to contact police.
