Police seek help to find missing man at Eli Waters

Police are seeking public assistance to locate 50-year-old Allan Gannon reported missing from Eli Waters mid-May.

Allan was last seen at an Eli Waters Shopping Centre on the corner of Ibis Boulevard and Maryborough Hervey Bay Road on Sunday April 17 around 5.30pm, where he met a friend and detailed interstate travel plans.

His proposed route included hitchhiking from Eli Waters to Gympie, then using rail networks to continue onto Brisbane and Wollongong, New South Wales.

He has not arrived at his destination and police and family hold concerns for his welfare as being out of contact is out of character for Allan.

Allan is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 170cm tall with a slim build and bald head.

Police are asking Allan, or anyone who knows his whereabouts, to contact them.
