Police seek help to find missing man at Kowanyama

A search and rescue is underway in Far North Queensland for a missing 44-year-old man.

Jerry David, also is known as Jerry Major was last seen leaving a Kowanyama address on November 14 (Thursday) in a white 2008 Toyota Landcruiser.

The four-wheel-drive was located the following day on Kowanyama Road and appeared to have been abandoned after a crash.

Police officers and rangers have been searching for the man.

Helicopters have also been assisting with the search over the last two days.

Police are concerned, as he has not contacted his family and his behaviour is out of character.
