Police seek help to find missing man at Tamborine Mountain

Police are appealing for urgent public assistance to help locate a man missing from Tamborine Mountain.

Trevor Wilson, 62, was last seen at his Katoomba Crescent home by his wife last night, but he was gone when she woke up this morning.

Family and police are concerned for Mr Wilson's welfare as this is out of character.

Mr Wilson is a keen bushwalker, and searches of the nearby Botanical Gardens and Heritage Centre as well as tracks he is known to frequent have been conducted but without success.

Mr Wilson is described as Caucasian with a proportionate build, around 170 centimetres tall with short grey hair and green eyes.

It is not known exactly what he was wearing when he left home, however it is likely he is wearing a shirt, shorts, walking shoes and a hooded jumper.

He did not take a wallet or a mobile phone with him.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Wilson or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
