Police seek help to find missing man at Tambourine Mountain

Police are seeking urgent public assistance to help locate a man missing in Tambourine Mountain.

John Rigby was last seen by family in Beenleigh around 1pm however his car has since been located in Palm Grove Road at Tambourine Mountain around 4pm.

Police hold concerns for his safety and have commenced a land and air search of the surrounding national park area.

He is described as 77-years-old, Caucasian, 180cm tall, medium build with blue eyes and light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a maroon shirt and beige shorts.

Anyone who has seen Mr Rigby or has further information is urged to contact police.
