Police seek help to find missing person at Warwick

Police are appealing for public assistance with the search for a missing 74-year-old man last seen at a Gore Street home yesterday, between 7am and 9.30am.

Concerns are held for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition, and it is out of character for him to not return home.

John Henry Howard is described as being 180cm tall, of medium build with grey hair and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark speckled beanie, brown boots and is believed to be carrying a backpack.

Police are searching for Mr Howard, including the use of Polair and numerous ground crews. Officers are asking for anyone in the Southern Downs area to keep a look-out for the man or who may have relevant footage, to contact them.

Members of the public are also asked to check buildings around their properties.
