Police seek help to find missing person at Maraboy

Northern Territory Police hold concerns for the welfare of 50-year-old Ms Ann Beaumont, who is believed to be missing in the Maranboy area.

Superintendent Peter Kennon said at around 1.00am this morning, Police received a report of a single vehicle crash on the Central Arnhem Highway, approximately four kilometres east of the Stuart Highway.

Maranboy Police attended and on arrival located a white Holden Commodore belonging to Ms Beaumont. Members of the public who had come across the crash advised Police that a Caucasian female, believed to be Ms Beaumont, had suffered a head injury and walked into the bushland shortly after they arrived at the scene.

Police conducted a search of the area overnight and continued to undertake a search of the area today. A helicopter has been deployed to assist, along with further Police and NTES resources on the ground.

Police urge anyone who may have been in the area and saw Ms Beaumont or who have any information as to her whereabouts to contact them immediately on 131 444, quoting PROMIS number 8917989.
