Police are appealing for public assistance to help find Karen who has dementia and left a Box Hill hospital this morning.
Karen, 77, was at a hospital on Arnold Street waiting to be treated for an unrelated condition when she left on foot about 8am.
Karen was wearing a green cashmere jumper, black leggings, and was barefoot when she left.
Police and Karen's family are very concerned about her welfare due to her dementia and other medical conditions that require treatment.
Police are urging the Box Hill community and those in surrounding areas to keep an eye out for Karen.
She is described as being Caucasian in appearance, with short grey / white hair and has a thin build.
Anyone who sights Karen is urged to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
