Police are appealing for information after a licensed premises was damaged during a break in this morning in Albion Park in the Illawarra, NSW Police say.
About 3.20am tomorrow, police were called to a licensed premises on Hamilton Road, after reports of an aggravated break and enter.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command attended and found the premises had been badly damaged with attempts made to access two ATMs and a cigarette machine at the location.
It is believed that a bronze four wheel drive was driven directly towards the front glass doors of the premises to gain entry.
No property was stolen during the incident however the premises sustained substantial damage.
A crime scene was established at the location.
Shortly after, emergency services were called to a car fire in Woollybutt Drive, Albion Park Rail.
Officers attended and found a bronze Toyota Rav4 on fire at the location. It is believed the car may have been involved in the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
