Police are appealing for information following a serious bike and truck crash in the Illawarra this morning.
About 1:15am today, Tuesday 28 October 2025, emergency services were called to King Street, Warrawong, following reports of a crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District found a 12-year-old boy collided with the trailer of an A-double truck, while riding a bicycle
The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being flown to Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, in a critical condition.
The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old man was taken to Shellharbour Hospital for mandatory testing.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
