Police seek info after suspicious fire in Guildford

Police are appealing for public assistance after a suspicious fire at Guildford overnight, NSW Police say.

About 1.40am today (Friday 23 November 2018), emergency services responded to a mobile food kiosk that was on fire, within a service station on Rawson Road.

Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the fire, but the food kiosk was destroyed.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Initial inquiries suggest the fire may have been deliberately lit.

Investigators believe this incident may be linked to a similar incident on the night of Wednesday 14 November 2018, when a mobile food kiosk on Macquarie Street at Liverpool, was also damaged by fire.

As inquiries continue, investigators have urged anyone with information about suspicious behaviour in the area overnight, or the earlier fire to come forward.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
