Police are appealing for information after a woman was found injured in West Ryde overnight, NSW Police say.
Just before 7.30pm today, emergency services were called to Marsden Road, West Ryde, after a woman was found injured on the footpath.
Ambulance Paramedics assisted the woman, believed to be aged about 60, before she was taken to Westmead Hospital suffering head injuries. She remains there in a serious condition.
Officers attached to Ryde Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined.
An investigation is underway and police are urging any witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward and contact Crime Stopers.
