Police seek info following crash in Waterloo

Police are appealing for information following a crash at Waterloo overnight, NSW Police say.

Just after 12am (Wednesday 20 December 2017), emergency services were called to John Street following reports of a woman hit by a car.

On arrival, a 49-year-old woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for fractures and facial injuries. She was taken to St Vincents Hospital in a stable condition and her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Initial investigations suggest the woman was standing in the middle of the road when she was hit twice by the driver of a green Holden Commodore sedan, who then left the scene.

Police believe the woman and the female driver of the Holden are known to each other.

Officers from Redfern Local Area Command are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
