Police seek info following serious assault in North Bondi

Police are appealing for information following a serious assault at North Bondi yesterday, NSW Police say.

Shortly after 1pm yesterday police and emergency services were called to Bidigal Reserve, North Bondi following reports of an affray.

A 33-year-old man sustained a number of lacerations to his head, and abrasions to his body.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, where he has since been released.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation.

Crime Manager from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command, Detective Inspector Tim Bayly, said the investigation is progressing and police are appealing for witnesses.

"Such incidents that put individuals and the community at risk and create fear will not be tolerated."

"Investigators would like to speak to anyone who was at the location, before, during or after the incident that has not yet spoken to police." Detective Inspector Bayly said.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
