Police seek info on Heidelberg carpark theft

Banyule Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after two women stole mail from an apartment and items from cars in Heidelberg in late November.

It is understood two women entered the foyer of an apartment building on Cartmell Street, then forced entry into the underground carpark about 3am on Tuesday, 29 November.

Police were told they rummaged through mailboxes and stole mail, then took items from a number of vehicles including power tools and a wallet containing bank cards.

It is believed the two women fled the scene on foot, then used the stolen bank cards at a nearby service station, fast food restaurant and shopping centre.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of two women they believe can assist with their enquiries.
