Police seek information after armed robbery - Rydalmere

Police are appealing for public information following an armed robbery in Sydney's west.

About 2.55am today (Sunday 5 December 2021), two men entered a hotel on Victoria Road, Rydalmere, through the main entrance.

One man – who was armed with a small knife – threatened staff and demanded money from the cash register and safe while the second man distracted security staff.

The men left the location on foot with cash.

No staff members were physically injured during the incident.

Detectives from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with anyone who may be able to assist with ongoing inquiries.
