Police seek information after armed robbery at Coonamble

Police are appealing for public information following an armed robbery in the state's Orana Region.

About 5.45am yesterday (5 February 2020), a man armed with a knife entered a service station on Aberford Street, Coonamble, where he demanded cash and cigarettes.

A female shop attendant complied and the man fled the location, heading towards Railway Street.

The man is described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance with a slim build and between 20-25 years old.

The man was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and trackpants with yellow and white joggers.

Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District attended and established a crime scene, and an investigation is underway.
