Police seek information after armed robbery - Plumpton

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Sydney's west overnight.

About 11.10 pm last night (Sunday 24 January 2021), officers attached to Mt Druitt Police Area Command were called to a business on Rooty Hill Road, Plumpton, following reports of an armed robbery.

Police have been told three employees were cleaning the store when two men entered and threated staff with a sawn-off shotgun. The unknown men then stole money, mobile phones ,and a draw of the cash register before fleeing.

The employees were not injured.

Officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command were contacted and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detectives are looking to speak to two men they believe may be able assist with their inquiries.

One of the men is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, 180cm to 185cm tall, and of large build. He was seen wearing beige shorts, a black t-shirt, white hat, and white joggers.

The second man is described as being about 175cm tall, of thin build, and was seen wearing a black balaclava, a black hooded jumper, black pants and black shoes.
