Police Seek Information After Assault - Ashfield

Police are appealing for assistance following an assault in Sydney's inner west last month.

About 1:25pm on Saturday 6 November 2025, police were called to Ashfield Railway Station following reports of an assault.

On arrival, officers attached to the Police Transport Command were told a Sydney Trains employee had been assaulted by a man unknown to him.

As inquiries continue, police have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, thin build, unshaven beard and moustache. He has a distinctive tattoo on the left side of his neck.
